Appointment strengthens product leadership as dnl expands its AI audit platform

Berlin, 2 November 2026 – dnl has appointed Kjer Dabelstein as Head of Audit Solutions. Dabelstein joined on 1 November from Forvis Mazars in Germany. He will lead product strategy at dnl, which builds AI-powered workflow tools for financial statement audit.

Dabelstein will own dnl’s product roadmap and work directly with audit firms on new features and products. He expects firms to move towards fewer vendors and a single platform. He also sees room for more automation in analytics and journal entry testing.

Dabelstein brings the buyer’s view to the job. As an auditor at Forvis Mazars, he co-designed the product that became dnl’s ai/checklist and led its rollout. From 2022 he worked on audit innovation at the firm in Germany and across its international network. He led ideation for the network’s Global Audit & Assurance Innovation initiative, developing new concepts with colleagues across the network.

“Kjer has spent years deciding which audit tools a firm can trust,” said Andreas Schindler, CEO of dnl. “He also knows how to get auditors to use them. The auditor’s perspective has always been at the heart of our roadmap. With Kjer on the team, we can expand it even further.”

“The biggest problem in audit is friction,” said Dabelstein. “Firms juggle too many tools that don’t talk to each other. Auditors still spend too much of their day in Excel. dnl has one of the most mature products I’ve seen in audit. My job is to bring that ease of use to the whole audit, on one platform.”

dnl serves audit firms internationally. Its checklists cover IFRS, local GAAPs from FRS 102 to US GAAP, and sustainability standards including ESRS.

dnl gewinnt neuen Head of Audit Solutions
